Position Summary:,
\x95Ensures the successful interpretation, engineering, rigging, realization, and safety of all scenic, lighting, sound, and video designs.,
\x95Alongside the theatre\x92s established Safety Committee, will work to ensure a safe working environment in both scene shop and theatre spaces.,
\x95Oversees an IATSE Scene Shop, including 4 carpenters and 2 scenic painters. ,
\x95Maintains clear and consistent communication with all members of the scenic department, as well as the surrounding production departments, to ensure successful integration of technical elements of shows.,
\x95Coordinates work schedules with all production departments.,
\x95Evaluates budget, mechanical and logistic feasibility.,
\x95Generates working drawings for the scene shop utilizing AutoCAD.,
\x95Distributes technical ground plans and sections to technical departments and stage management.,
\x95The purchase of construction materials and equipment needs of the scene shop.,
\x95Provides samples and photos as needed to designers and directors.,
\x95Oversees organization of warehouse with Prop Shop Manager and Costume Shop Manager.,
\x95Provides input to upper management regarding future capital projects and improvements.,
\x95Assists designers with knowledge about use and capability of theatre\x92s,
physical plant.,
\x95Brings group incentive and drive to each production.,

Skills and Knowledge:,
\x95Strong project management skills that demonstrate the ability to deliver complex projects on time, on budget, and in a safe and efficient way.,
\x95Must possess written and verbal communication and be able to collaborate with a wide variety of artists, technicians and administrators with diverse backgrounds.,
\x95Must have complete proficiency and demonstrable experience using AutoCAD. Working knowledge of Vectorworks is a plus.,
\x95Skills in carpentry, welding, rigging, and sewing.,
\x95Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other cloud based software.,

\x95Five or more years of experience in related positions; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.,
