The Garden Theatre is looking for a contracted Master Carpenter for our upcoming production of Grease. This position has the potential to become full-time. The Master Carpenter would be responsible for building and assisting with the load-in and strike of all scenery. ,
,
RESPONSIBILITIES,
Lead and complete build for Garden Theatre Mainstage Production set;,
Provide, communicate, and maintain protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of each shop worker, staff member, volunteer, actor, etc. interacting with a work space or scenic element;,
Maintain regular contact with the Technical Director and Production Manager to help them achieve their goals and maintain productivity;,
Be on site and assist or lead load-in and strike of Garden Theatre Mainstage Production sets; ,
Scene Shop equipment maintenance;,
Supervise Assistant Carpenters and Volunteers in Scene Shop;,
Assist Properties Masters and/or Scenic Artists as needed in the completion of their departments\x92 projects;,
Maintain the highest level of work ethic, positive attitude, and collaborative team environment by demonstrating strong leadership and high standards of behavior;,
Maintain the highest level of transparency with Theatre\x92s leadership in internal and external communication, as well as, in timelines and progress for each project and task; ,
Maintain timely responses for each phone call, email, and in-person communication from other staff members and designers;,
Be responsible for the care of Theatre\x92s property, materials and equipment; ,
Conduct themselves in a professional manner when interacting with people in our community and industry as a representative of the Theatre;,

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS,
Demonstrable construction expertise;,
Ability to lift, carry and assemble scenery and materials;,
Strong attention to detail and accuracy;,
Strong leadership that inspires a high level of work ethic, positive attitude, and collaboration; ,
Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills;,
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ,
Ability and passion to work inclusively with all ages and diverse populations;,
Experience in conflict resolution and creating a collaborative work environment; ,
Experience using AutoCAD and other drafting software;,
Experience Microsoft Office Suite, and other applications and softwares;,
Excellent writing, organizational and communication skills;,
Able to manage multiple deadline-oriented assignments and projects at any given time;,
Works effectively both independently and as a strong team member;,
Exercises good judgement in program, personnel, and resource management;,
Driver\x92s license,
