Job Description

Meadow Brook Theatre, in Rochester Michigan, is currently accepting resumes/applications for our 2020-21 season. We fully produce 6 shows a season and remount A Christmas Carol every season. As well as hosting a children\x92s series. We are looking for versatility in our interns, the ability to work in several different departments and a \x93positive can do attitude\x94. ,

Positions/descriptions available: ,

1 Scene Shop Intern,
oWould work primarily in the Scene ,
Shop \x96 Scenic Paint skills a plus,
oMust be able to lift at least 60lbs,
oWould be on the backstage crew for at least 1 show,
oWould be involved in all Light hang and focus calls,

,
1 Prop/Scene Shop intern,
oWould work primarily in the ,
Properties department however, would also work in the Scene shop if needed,
Basic Sewing Skills,
Basic Building Skills,
Basic Scenic Paint skills,
oWould be on the backstage crew,
oMust be able to lift at least 40lbs,
oWould be involved in all Light hang and focus calls,

2 Costume Interns \x96 both interns must have the skills to stitch and be on wardrobe crew.,
oMust have basic sewing skills,
oWigs, make-up and Craft Skills a plus,
oWould also work on the backstage crew ,
oWould be involved in all Light hang and focus calls,

1 SM/PM Intern,
oWould also work on a backstage crew,
oPosition includes points toward becoming equity,
oWould be involved in all Light hang and focus calls,

oWould work in the lighting department,

oWould work on the backstage crew/Spot Operator,

What is involved in this internship:,
\x95Contract Dates are approx. September 2020 to (end of) June 2021,
\x95$300.00 per week (housing is not provided) ,
\x95Cleaning,
\x95A clear working knowledge of a Professional Theatre,
\x95Lending support to the departments assigned,
\x95Intern meetings,
\x95Work 48 hours a week (overtime will be honored after 48 hrs. have been work within 7 day period),
\x95Mid-season reviews,
\x95Needs to be team oriented but can also maintain the stamina, focus, initiative needed to work individually.,
\x95Ability to switch departments if needed,
oIncluding working for load-ins and strikes,
\x95Ability to \x93play well with others\x94,
\x95Possess a sense of humor,
\x95Possess a positive/\x94can do\x94 attitude,
\x95Possess problem solving skills,
\x95A willingness to learn,
\x95Airport Runs,
\x95A willingness to work long hours if needed,
