This is a contract position that would have you work in conjunction with a professional fabrication shop as part of a team to execute design work and install, run shows, and strike special event decor, scenic elements, and lighting in high profile locations throughout Colorado.,

Job Description:,
Execute fabrication, assembly, finish carpentry and painting for custom builds of all kinds.,
Lead a team of fabricators to install and strike custom event decor ,
Give clear direction and assist with the use of power tools and rigging equipment onsite, both indoors and outdoors,
Operate standard power tools such as table saw, router, sanders, pneumatics and various hand power tools required in the fabrication and assembly of final products,
Assist in preparing elements for paint, and execute basic paint work, finishing and touch ups,
Work independently as well as with a team to meet deadline,
Drive materials to and from site as needed,
Lift, climb ladders, and be on your feet and outdoors,

Salary: $22 - $25/hr depending on experience and qualifications.,

Time: Mid-April 2020 - October 2020,

Schedule may vary - It is likely that during busy production weeks you will be required to work more than 40 hours a week, and there will be some weeks with low or no hours. The hours for the shifts worked by our onsite crew vary, and include nights and weekends. ,

Our events are frequently outside of Denver, often in the Aspen and Vail area as well as other resort towns around Colorado. On location work is typically 1-3 nights. Pink Monkey covers travel to and from location, meal reimbursement and hotel accommodations. Housing is not provided for the Denver metro area. We will provide you with a weekly schedule for two weeks ahead so you may plan accordingly. You MUST be fully available from July 29th - August 11th.,

Experience: 2-5+ years professional experience working in a scenic, carpentry, or fabrication shop. Theatre, events, or film experience is preferred. Truck driving experience (No CDL required) is extremely preferred.,

Skills: ,
Strong construction and layout skills and the ability to read mechanical drawings,
Must have experience with wide variety of Hand and power tools.,
Strong candidates will have prior knowledge of wood framing, welding, and finish carpentry.,
A wide knowledge of fabrication materials is essential.,
An eye for detail and extreme accuracy,
Clean and safe working habits,
Professional attitude and organization skills,
Able to lift up to 75 lbs ,
Paint knowledge is a plus,
Truck driving up to 26\x92 box trucks is a plus,
