Production internships at Trinity Rep are a hands-on experience. We want interns to leave with practical working knowledge of their field of internship as well as the confidence to move ahead to a job in that field. Production interns work as part of their department alongside professionals who have been in their field for years. We believe that the best way to learn how to do something is to do it and that\x92s what our internships focus on. Throughout the year you will get a chance to interact with people from other departments, as well as out-of-town designers and artists from around the country. Trinity Rep production interns are given opportunities to make great contacts, and to learn about other fields of interest. We are looking for individuals who are hungry to learn, and to ask questions. Our production departments have to function as a team so we need individuals that are willing to work like that. The sound intern will join the three other members of the sound department and work to install sound systems for all shows. The Intern will also be responsible for operating the audio console for multiple shows. Opportunities to learn about live mixing are available if interested. In hopes for furthering experience level, interns may be asked to take on special events. A positive \x91team player\x92 attitude, as well as an aptitude and desire to learn, are essential to this position. Applicant should be comfortable working at heights and on ladders and possess the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Recent college graduates experienced in running shows and installing systems with an interest in sound design and/or engineering are preferred.,
