Job Description

Tuacahn Center for the Arts Seasonal Audio Assist Who you are: Dedicated Audio Professional (DAP) Experienced in theatrical production audio especially wireless microphone and orchestra microphone applications. An excellent communicator with patience and understanding of a variety of personalities. Understand deadlines and anticipate needs and schedules for completions. Able to handle change and adapt to new and creative requests. You will have experience in: Theatrical audio applications, We use Shure wireless microphones and wireless workbench. Dante network protocols, Countryman wireless microphones. Yamaha PM-10 and Cl-5 consoles. You will be efficient and knowledgeable in microphone set up and troubleshooting. You will be skilled in actor interaction and microphone placement. Fitting of head rigs. We build our own head rigs for wireless face microphones. What you will do: Assist the A-1 and Systems engineer with all audio systems and performance. We Have 48 wireless face microphones and 48 orchestra microphones. You will assist the integration of the audio design during onstage rehearsal and technical rehearsal. You will be able to keep all microphones operational through 6 nightly performances per week. You will be able to anticipate and mitigate microphone failure through preshow check and maintenance and performance monitoring. When you will be needed: April 27 to May 2 Build test and fitting May 4 to May 16 Onstage rehearsal May 18 to May 30 Technical Rehearsal June 1 to June 6 Preview Opening June 8 to July 6 nightly performance Sunday off July 7 to July 9 Onstage rehearsal July 10 and 11 nightly performance July 13 to July 18 technical rehearsal July 20 to July 25 Preview Opening July 27 to October 24 nightly performance Sunday off Who you will report to: Systems engineer, A-1 engineers, Audio designers What you will receive: Pay is hourly DOE between 10-12 per hour. Housing is provided. A private room in a shared apartment. Transportation is not provided.
