The New York office of Frost Productions is seeking highly motivated and experienced Carpenters/Craftsmen who are based in the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) to work on a freelance basis.,

Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00+ per hour; commensurate with experience,

This position involves all phases of construction and finishing for custom, high-quality scenic elements, exhibits, cabinetry, and props. ,

Position Responsibilities:,
\x95 Work in the Fabrication Shop located in Moonachie, NJ, producing and assembling materials,
\x95 Work at venues throughout the city installing and striking materials as needed,
\x95 Complete construction in a variety of materials including, but not limited to: wood, metal, acrylic, and plastic laminates, in the shop and field as needed,
\x95 Painting, finishing, and graphics handling and application,
\x95 Problem solving through creative interpretation of drawings, renderings, and thumbnails ,
\x95 Ensure proper handling and packaging/crating of finished materials in the shop and field at all times,
\x95 Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays,

Position Requirements:,
\x95 5+ years of experience in construction and fabrication,
\x95 General knowledge of Scenic Arts, stagecraft, and carpentry,
\x95 Must adhere to all shop safety, PPE, and MSDS protocols,
\x95 Ability to read and interpret drawings/plans and execute those plans accordingly in the shop and field,
\x95 Ability to take a project from start to finish with minimal direction, and meet tight deadlines,
\x95 Experience in the application of wood and scenic finishes,
\x95 Comfortable and experienced using heavy machinery (i.e. boom lifts, forklifts), power tools, and shop machinery,
\x95 Punctuality, professionalism, and a positive, collaborative attitude when working with clients and co-workers,

Preferred Qualifications:,
\x95 Valid driver\x92s license and acceptable driving record. ,
\x95 Comfortable driving large vehicles (16\x92 to 24\x92 box trucks - CDL not required),
\x95 Comfortable working at heights,
\x95 Welding experience,
