Job Description

The Stitcher is a Full-Time Seasonal, non-exempt position that will sew costumes as needed for new build productions as well as refurbished productions. The Stitcher may also assist in fittings, as needed. He or she will need to be able to stitch at a fast and accurate rate and demonstrate strong project and time management skills. ,

Responsibilities,
\x95Stitch costumes as required for new builds, refurbishment, and repair of ballet costumes,
\x95Stitch at a fast, accurate rate,
\x95Complete all projects as specified and on time,
\x95Other job-related assignments, as needed,
\x95Possible assistance in fittings, as needed ,
,
Qualifications,
\x95Three years of experience sewing at a professional theatre level,
\x95Strong knowledge of costume construction methods,
\x95Strong hand sewing skills,
\x95Experience sewing knits as well as wovens,
\x95Knowledge of industrial sewing machines used in costume construction and ability to perform weekly maintenance on that equipment,
\x95Ability to work effectively under pressure,
\x95Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. ,
\x95Excellent attention to detail,
