Opera in the Ozarks at Inspiration Point (www.opera.org) is a training program for aspiring opera singers in beautiful Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Now preparing for its 70th season, the company runs three main stage productions in repertory (7 performances each) and a smaller, traveling studio artist production for a one-month season, mid-June to mid-July. 45 vocal artists supported by an artistic/administrative staff of 25 and a paid orchestra of 25 comprise the company. 2020 productions: Donizetti\x92s Lucia di Lammermoor, Massenet\x92s Cendrillon and Ward\x92s The Crucible. The Studio Artist program\x92s production is TBA. ,

DESCRIPTION:,
Opera in the Ozarks at Inspiration Point is seeking two Assistant Costumers for the 2020 season. The Assistant Costumers report to the Costume Designer and Shop Manager Kim Welborn and Assistant Shop Manager. Representative responsibilities include, but are not limited to:,
,
+middot;Participating in all daily tasks in the costume shop,
+middot;Participating in the execution of costume fitting, construction, modifications and alterations,
+middot;Participating in crafts as needed,
+middot;Supervising and mentoring a crew of student/ artist and volunteer workers,
+middot;Attending dress rehearsals as a backstage crew,
+middot;Assisting in pulling from stock, reorganization, and restocking of costume storage and work areas,
+middot;Acting as a wardrobe crew during the complete run of the performance,
+middot; Maintaining costumes, accessories, and wigs during complete run of the performances,

The successful candidates will be hired as an independent contractor and no taxes will be withheld. Compensation includes $2400, a shared air-conditioned room and meals seven days/week for the period of the contract May 18-July 19, 2019.
