Annapolis Shakespeare Company announces 1700 square foot expansion in our current facility for a new scene shop, costume shop, in-house laundry facility, loading dock, expanded dressing rooms with actor bathrooms, and additional parking.+nbsp;,

ASC seeking a new position of a part-time Technical Director for immediate employment through the end of the 2019-2020 Season (August 1, 2020).,

10 to 20 hours per week (flexible schedule, i.e. Hours may reflect longer or shorter days as mandated by the production schedule),
,
Duties and responsibilities include:,
Set construction,
Ordering materials for scenery and prop construction,
Maintaining scene shop inventory and equipment,
Working with designers (set, lighting, costume, projections, sound) to ensure effective communication as each production moves from pre-production to technical rehearsals,
Reporting to the Artistic Director,

Required skills:,
Intermediate to advanced stage carpentry (no welding experience required,
Shop inventory maintenance,
Efficient time management,
Effective management of over-hired labor (carpenters, scene painters, run-crew),
Stage Production computer software,
,
Preferred skills:,
3 to 5 years experience in semi-professional or professional Theatre production,
Willingness to commit to an advanced aesthetic standard,
Able to manage production schedules as needed by designers and artistic leadership,
