The historic Cape Playhouse in Dennis, MA-"the theatre where Broadway goes to summer"- is accepting resumes for Carpenters for our 2020 Summer Season which includes productions of "Private Lives," "God of Carnage," "An American in Paris," "Always Patsy Cline," "Grease," "Murder on the Orient Express," and "Million Dollar Quartet." ,

The Cape Playhouse values tradition, hard work, kindness, generosity, passion, and professionalism. The candidates must have a well-developed understanding of scenic construction skills. The carpenters will contribute heavily to the building, installing, and striking of each set throughout the season-and may be required to be on the run crew of the bigger shows, depending on the need. ,

Applicants should have two years shop experience, and familiarity with reading both hand-drafted and CAD drawings. Desired, but not necessary: MIG welding, drafting, tool maintenance, and theatrical rigging (hemp house especially). ,

Position runs from mid-May to early-September. Weekly salary plus housing.,
