We are looking for an experienced Shop Foreman who has worked in this role or similar, and is very familiar with the set design industry, the nuances of fabricating for live entertainment and comfortable working in a fast-paced shop with critical deadlines. ,

DAILY OPERATIONS,
As Shop Foreman, your responsibilities will include:,
-Running and overseeing crew ,
-Overseeing a project or projects from start to finish,
-Disseminating project information to the crew and assigning tasks ,
-Maintaining a clean and organized shop with an efficient workflow,
-Communicating with Purchasing to ensure that the shop is properly stocked with materials,
-Keeping up with machine maintenance ,
-Giving detailed reports on job progress and timelines,
-Maintaining an efficient workplace with regards to materials and manpower,

QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS,
The ideal candidate for Shop Foreman will:,
-Be able to bring a wealth of experience to the position,
-Have the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as needed,
-Be able to effectively trouble-shoot + problem solve ,
-Have the ability to identify the skill sets of crew and pair them with appropriate jobs,
-Be able to read and build from blueprints, plans/elevations ,
-Have the know-how to use all types of power tools,
-Be able to clearly and timely communicate about projects ,
-Be very organized in thought, speech and action when it comes to mapping out how projects will be completed ,
-Feel comfortable operating a forklift,
-Ideally have experience working with CNC router and waterjet,
