Job Description

Williams Street Repertory is looking for a Charge Artist to join the creative team of An Act of God, our upcoming summer play. An Act of God by David Javerbaum, directed by Kevin Wiczer will run June 19th-July 19th at the Raue Center for the Arts in downtown Crystal Lake. Successful candidates will have demonstrable skills in scenic paint techniques, strong communication skills, and availability for all required production dates.,

5/5 - Production Meeting / Draftings + Renderings/model due,
5/18 - Production Meeting / paint samples due,
6/1 thru 6/5 - designated paint time in shop,
6/8 thru 6/12 - Scenic load in,
6/15 - Tech Notes day ,
6/19 - Opening Performance,
,
Additional meetings and paint calls may be scheduled ad hoc.,

The Scenic Charge Artist will have use of the shop space and all stock materials therein, subject to availability. The Raue Center staff will provide for basic paint touchup needs during the run of the production. Williams Street Rep. does have a paint stock for use by the designer.,

Compensation + Budget:,
$500 Artist stipend,
$300 Paint budget,

Designers will be responsible for their own housing and transportation to and from the venue. Local area candidates preferred.,
