Job Description
Essential Job Functions:,
\x95Attend Production Meetings on mutually agreeable dates, contributing to and assessing technical solutions/systems for executing designs as they are created,
\x95Keep in communication with the Lighting Designer about the build schedule, purchase of equipment, and design collaboration process,
\x95Assist in the acquisition of the Final Purchase List for Lighting that will be portable and will best execute designs of all three productions,
\x95In collaboration with LD, provide creative and technical support throughout the design process as the Associate Lighting Designer,
\x95Keep in communication with Set, Props, Wardrobe and Sound Departments regarding storage, transport and security needs and troubleshoot with PM,
\x95In coordination with PM, create detailed Lighting work/dark time schedule for summer after final drawings are submitted,
\x95Attend on-site production meetings and be prepared to discuss progress,
\x95Safely and efficiently install lighting elements into the theatre (as needed) in consultation with LD, TD, and PM,
\x95Assist DofP in scheduling and delegating volunteer crews as needed,
\x95Coordinate, manage and execute Hang (as needed) + Focus for 4-show rep plot,
\x95Be present at tech meetings as scheduled for each production and address notes as needed,
\x95Run the lightboard for mainstage performances,
\x95Maintain all equipment and respond to all performance reports as needed,
\x95Design lights for the TYA production,
\x95Serve as the primary representative to speak on the designer\x92s behalf after opening night until the end of the season,
\x95Supervise electrics department and all assigned persons during \x91All Hands\x92 work calls,
\x95Dismantle, inventory and store all lighting as previously determined with DofP,
Desired Qualifications:,
\x95Experience working as a theatre electrician with a comprehensive understanding of theatrical lighting design,
\x95Will maintain a safe working environment and execute all work calls under the safety standards set by the Director of Production and Technical Director,
\x95Ability to work flexibly as a team member and present a positive attitude,
\x95Ability to multi-task multiple projects, maintain organization, and be detail oriented,
\x95Self-motivated, with a mature, positive, and enthusiastic attitude towards the goal of providing the highest quality work possible, in a mutually supportive environment.,
\x95Ability to work at heights from ladders, personnel lifts, and catwalks.,
\x95Ability to lift 50lbs.,
\x95Demonstrated interest leading a team and mentoring others,
