The New York office of Frost Productions is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Shop Foreman/Master Carpenter who is based in the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) to supervise our Fabrication Shop located in Moonachie, New Jersey. This position involves supervision of all phases of construction and finishing for custom, high-end scenic elements, exhibits, cabinetry, and props. This person reports directly to the Fabrication Manager.,

This is a full-time salaried position with benefits. $65,000 - $75,000 annually; commensurate with experience.,

Position Responsibilities:,
\x95 Oversee all construction and finishing in the Fabrication Shop and in the field as necessary,
\x95 Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment, including following OSHA + MSDS guidelines,
\x95 Organize work flow and schedule staff as needed to maximize productivity,
\x95 Generate material and hardware orders based on construction drawings,
\x95 Work in Fabrication Shop producing/assembling materials and in the field installing/striking materials as needed,
\x95 Ability to complete projects with a variety of materials including but not limited to wood, metal, acrylic and plastic laminates,
\x95 Painting, finishing, and graphics handling and application,
\x95 Drafting in Vectorworks as needed,
\x95 Problem solving through creative interpretation of drawings, renderings, and thumbnails ,
\x95 Ensure proper handling and packaging/crating of all finished materials for travel,
\x95 Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays and be on call as needed,

Position Requirements:,
\x95 Extensive knowledge of cabinetry, exhibit fabrication, and scenic arts,
\x95 Ability to read and interpret drawings/plans and execute plans accordingly,
\x95 Ability to take a project from start to finish with minimal direction, often on tight deadlines,
\x95 Experience in the application of practical and theatrical finishes,
\x95 Comfortable and experienced using heavy equipment such as boom lifts and forklifts,
\x95 Ability to lift up to 75 pounds,
\x95 Punctuality, professionalism, and a positive, collaborative attitude when working with clients and co-workers,

Preferred Qualifications:,
\x95 10 + years of experience,
\x95 Valid driver\x92s license and acceptable driving record,
\x95 Comfortable driving large vehicles (16\x92 to 24\x92 box trucks - CDL not required),
