The Technical Designer is responsible for designing and providing technical solutions, creating technical specifications and developing safe and cost-effective construction methods based on design concepts and visual information This position reports directly to the Technical Director and Director of Scenic Production.,

Key Responsibilities: ,
\x95Create technical drawings for shop build ,
\x95Draft detailed assembly/installation drawings,
\x95Research and order materials and hardware required for construction,
\x95Actively communicate with construction team,
\x95Work closely with the production team to meet both budget and scheduling goals,
\x95Monitor shop standards and quality control,
\x95Communicate,

Qualifications,
\x95Minimum BA or BFA. Technical Production degree preferred,
\x95Solid knowledge of stagecraft practices+#894; shop fabrication experience recommended,
\x95Proficiency with Vectorworks, Enroute, Illustrator, and MS Office,
\x95Experience with automation and electronics,
\x95Must have outstanding relationship skills and have a team oriented, collaborative work ethic,
\x95Ability to work overtime,
