Des Moines Metro Opera is a professional opera company that produces three operas in repertory during its summer season. The production staff is comprised of experienced designers and technicians from regional theaters, universities, and opera companies from around the United States. It\x92s a great opportunity to gain work experience in a professional environment. The 48th season includes Platee, Sweeney Todd, and Queen of Spades. DMMO looks for creative, professional individuals who have a strong work ethic and are self-motivated.,

Duties include but are not limited to:,
-Work with the Scenic Artist in the fabricating and painting of all scenery and properties for the season.,
-Be present during all scenery changeovers to help with laying down any painted ground cloths used during the season.,
-Be present during all notes during the run of the shows.,
-Other duties as assigned by the Scenic Charge and Production Manager concerning the running of the summer festival.,

Dates + Fee:,
May 26, 2020 through July 24, 2020. DMMO provides a weekly stipend, travel stipend and free housing.,
