Broadway Bound is looking for two musical directors for two musicals to finish off our 2019/2020 season. These positions are a great way to work with us and learn about our program first hand as we begin our search for a new program music director for Broadway Bound beginning June 2020.,

Responsibilities include:,

Work with the director and stage manager to determine a rehearsal plan to keep the show on schedule; give casting recommendations to the director; attend auditions, rehearsals, production meetings, and performances; play piano accompaniment during rehearsals while teaching songs to performers; serve as conductor and first keys during tech/dress rehearsals and performances; lead a four to seven-piece band/orchestra; distribute and collect orchestra books and ensure they are returned in their original condition; call additional rehearsals if necessary with performers and/or musicians.,

Candidates should be available to work from 4:30-6:30pm in the University District, Monday through Friday and two Saturdays leading up to performances in addition to any outside work they need to practice and work on the score. A complete calendar will be given to candidates during the interview process. Qualified candidates will have a background in musical theatre and are able to teach music to kids who may have no prior experience.,
