The Aurora Civic Center Authority (ACCA), an innovative organization located on the Fox River in the heart of historic Aurora, Illinois (one hour from downtown Chicago), is seeking an Assistant Company Manager. The organization operates three venues: the 6,000-person RiverEdge Park, the 1,843-seat landmark Paramount Theatre, and the 173-seat Copley Theatre. ACCA produces and presents over 300 performances each year, including star-studded touring productions and a self-produced Broadway Series of musicals, which has amassed over 41,000 series subscribers and has the second-largest musical theatre subscription base in the United States. ACCA proudly celebrated the grand opening of its new Paramount School of the Arts on June 1, 2019, in the John C. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES \x96 The chief responsibility of the Assistant Company Manager (ACM) is to collaborate with the CM to foster a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable work environment and experience for actors, musicians, and other company members. ACM will engage with administrative staff, artists, and technicians to support and advance the Production department\x92s involvement in a variety of projects including subscription series musicals and plays, assorted touring productions, and select special events. ACM will maintain a broad understanding of the productions in order to care for artists and facilitate other needs throughout casting, contracting, rehearsals, load-in, technical rehearsals, previews, the run, and strike of each production or event.,

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES,
\x95Communicate and collaborate with talent agencies, licensing companies, and Actors\x92 Equity Association.,
\x95Facilitate, set up, and oversee general auditions and callbacks during casting season.,
\x95Hire and onboard readers and accompanists throughout casting season; consult with Casting Director and Music Supervisors as needed regarding artists preferred for these positions.,
\x95Track and communicate updates on accepted and declined casting offers until the casting process is complete.,
\x95Distribute and maintain all paperwork needed to onboard freelance company members including but not limited to: tax documents, background checks, company information forms, contracts, scripts, scores, and orchestral parts.,
\x95Coordinate ground transportation, air travel, and housing/hotel accommodations for guest artists based out-of-town.,
\x95Orient guest artists to the Aurora area; facilitate related travel, housing and artist care needs and resolve related challenges.,
\x95Work with Janitorial and Operations staff to maintain and improve guest artist apartments and other artist care spaces.,
\x95Generate and distribute weekly payroll for actors, musicians, accompanists, and stage managers.,
\x95Expense and catalogue receipts and check requests for reimbursements and union reports.,
\x95Process weekly and monthly invoices from vendors and licensing companies.,
\x95Inventory and purchase rehearsal and office supplies, and dinner supplies for weekend meals during performance runs.,
\x95Plan, order, and facilitate group meals during casting, rehearsals, and performance runs, including the creation and posting of menus and the set-up and clean-up of weekend meals as needed.,
\x95Collaborate with Stage Management and the Production Management to create, distribute, and implement policies and hospitality information to company members.,
\x95Read all rehearsal and performance reports and address relevant questions and concerns.,
\x95Maintain consistent communication with Stage Management about the actors\x92 emergency contacts and injuries that require appointments with the Occupation Health office or other health care providers for workplace injuries.,
\x95Collaborate with Events, Marketing, and Front of House staff to plan, set-up, and strike opening night and closing night events, including but not limited to the distribution of company gifts and some basic preparation of food.,
\x95Collaborate with Marketing, PR, and Production staff to plan and execute PR/Marketing appearances.,
\x95Collaborate with Education, Group Sales, and Production staff to schedule and host pre and post-show meet and greets with special groups and VIP patrons.,
\x95For touring shows, coordinate and/or provide ground transportation services; coordinate air travel and accommodations; purchase, set up, and strike artist hospitality for greenroom and dressing rooms; and support day-of-show catering.,
\x95Collaborate with Production staff and Safety Committee to develop, implement and administer safety and well-being programs to advance occupational health and safety policies, training, and certifications.,
\x95Work with CEO and Vice President of Productions (VPP) to bolster and maintain company morale.,
\x95Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism with regard to current and future productions, casting, design, staffing, budgets, salaries and other sensitive aspects of the production process.,
\x95Special projects and additional duties as assigned by CEO, VPP, CM, PM or other senior staff.,

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and ABILITIES,
\x95Current knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as basic accounting practices,
\x95Understanding of the artistic process and excellent interpersonal skills,

\x95Keen ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment,
\x95Capacity to approach challenges and stressful situations in a calm, creative, and diplomatic manner,
\x95Physical stamina to work in a variety of environments, including outdoors in occasionally inclement weather, and ability to lift up to forty pounds on occasion,

\x95Minimum 1 year of theatrical Company Management experience OR minimum 2 years of related, theatrical management experience (i.e. Stage Management, Production Management, General Management),
