Job Description

The New York office of Frost Productions is seeking highly-motivated and experienced A1 Freelance Live Audio Engineers who are based in the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut). The A1 \x96 Live Audio Engineer assists with the general setup of the assigned event or show, as directed by the crew leader, as well as oversees and directs the Audio setup. This is not an entry-level position and extensive live corporate/music experience is required. ,

Salary Range: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour; commensurate with experience,

Position Responsibilities:,
\x95 Coordinate with the Audio Services Manager to plan and execute the technical aspects of each design, including interpreting audio needs and all signal flow plans, I/O lists, and stage + venue plots,
\x95 Collaborate professionally with all production staff and clients to service all Audio technical support requests,
\x95 Provides professional, courteous technical support service to all clients,
\x95 Fulfills the role of System Tech or Console Operator, or both when required, depending on the size of the event,
\x95 Responsible for setup, operation, and strike of equipment before, during, and after events, including operating all system processors/software, audio consoles, playback support systems, and any audio related gear as required,
\x95 Direct any Audio technicians under their supervision in the completion of any tasks to deliver the expected Frost level of service, providing guidance when necessary,

Position Requirements:,
\x95 Minimum 3 years of live lead audio experience required,
\x95 Live-mixing skills and working knowledge of digital consoles, specifically DiGiCo, Soundcraft, Yamaha, and Midas,
\x95 Excellent system management skills; including building a line array per spec sheet,
\x95 Understanding of line array prediction and monitoring software required; preferably Martin Audio Display + VuNet and Harman Audio Architect,
\x95 Excellent knowledge of proper gain structure and signal flow,
\x95 Working knowledge of standard audio related software, such as, but not limited to, Shure Workbench 6, Qlab 4, Harman Audio Architect and Martin Audio Display + VuNet,
\x95 Ability to interpret event technical documents including technical riders, signal flow diagrams, input lists, stage plots, run-of-show, cue lists, etc.,
\x95 Comprehensive understanding of audio-related rigging gear including motors, hoists, crank lifts, truss, span sets, shackles, beam clamps, mega-claws, etc. and their practical application,
\x95 Ability to work in a high-stress environment and demonstrate initiative,
\x95 Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and time-management skills,
\x95 Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays,
\x95 Punctuality, professionalism, and a positive collaborative attitude when working with clients and co-workers,

Preferred Qualifications:,
\x95 Corporate / Special Events / Hotel / Arena / Broadcast experience is a plus,
\x95 Working knowledge of Waves Soundgrid servers,
\x95 Self-motivated with ability to work on several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision,
\x95 Ability to stand, kneel, and/or crouch for long periods of time,
\x95 Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding, operate single column lifts (Genies or scissor lifts), and comfortable working at heights,
\x95 Ability to work in variety of environments, including hot, humid, cold, and in small, cramped spaces,
\x95 Able to lift + move excess of 60lbs unassisted, and lift and move 100lbs with assistance,
