What will you be doing as a Senior Event Technician?,
,
Provide advanced/specialized lighting production support including design, set-up, operation and strike of specialized lighting and large scenic projection equipment including a portable and configurable LED video wall.,
"Responsible for the safe and accurate hanging and circuiting of the lighting units (conventional lights, moving lights, and specialized lighting fixtures) according to the Lighting Designers plot.",
Operate equipment independently during an event; often upon the cue of a stage manager or event producer.,
Assist technical coordinator in overseeing and maintaining the inventory of lighting equipment.,
Work with high profile clients in a professional manner to provide top quality production value. Install, maintain and trouble-shoot permanent and portable lighting systems.,
Functional supervision of any regular or temporary crew assigned to assist in lighting.,
Work as a member of the Hall of Music event technical team.+nbsp;,
Areas of responsibilities include, audio, video, staging and lighting.,
Work as A/V tech for presentations and meetings.+nbsp;,
Work on crews to deliver a wide range of services to event customers.,

Required:,
High School Diploma/GED.,
Four years of experience or training in live event production; such as technical theatre, live music, corporate events, and/or video production.,
Mastery of the theatrical/event lighting profession including professional lighting systems and lighting computer software programs.,
Experience in the use and maintenance of conventional lighting fixtures, automated (moving) lighting fixtures and scenic projection equipment including media servers and LED video walls.,
Extensive understanding of DMX512/CAN/ARTNET protocols used to control lighting instruments.,
Skilled in at least two of the additional following technical areas: audio, staging, and video.,
Working knowledge of theatrical tools, rigging equipment and electrical power.,
Able to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, work a heights in excess of 70 feet and work atop scaffolding.,
Must have high work standards and productivity, strong interpersonal and intercultural skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.,
Effective decision making skills and dependability.,
Ability to work effectively with individuals from different viewpoints and backgrounds utilizing Student life principles and teamwork in daily work activity.,
Able to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekends, to meet business needs.,
