JOB SUMMARY:,
To assist the Lighting Designer with the planning, preparation and execution of all lighting needs for the production. To develop a safe and efficient set-up and tear-down procedure for lighting and sound.,

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ,
(Majority of duties, but not meant to be all-inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary.),
Assist Lighting Designer in the design of the light plot and all electrical elements of production.,
Assist Lighting Designer in the planning and rental of lighting package with Production Manager.,
Program lighting cues with Lighting Designer.,
Responsible for the safe and efficient set-up and take-down of lighting system at each location.,
Assist in the set-up and take-down of all other technical equipment including sound and effects.,
Plan and execute, with the Technical Director, the safe and efficient loading and unloading of technical equipment for travel.,
Run light board during rehearsals and performances unless excused by the Production Manager.,
Assist Backlot Manager and Technical Director in set-up and take-down of lot power.,
Serve as backup generator operator.,
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all lighting and electrical equipment.,
Train Technical Director as backup Light Board Operator.,
Keep inventory of lighting equipment.,
Assist in creation of special effects as requested by the show directors.,
Return rented lighting equipment at end of tour.,
Assist in the set-up and tear down of back lot at the discretion of the Tour General Manager. Duties may include but are not limited to: Setting and leveling bunkhouses, running hoses and electrical cords, setting up dishwashing station, setting up picnic tables and dining tent.,
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.,
Ability to work at heights.,
Drive company vehicle.,
Other jobs as needed.,

Internal: Work is normally conducted in an office environment.,

External: Work requires travel throughout Vermont and surrounding states in preparation for and while on summer tour. ,

Work involves standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, and other physical activities consistent with setting up heavy equipment. Work may include lifting, carrying or moving objects and equipment weighing over 50 pounds.,

Supervision is received from the Production Manager,
