The historic Cape Playhouse in Dennis, MA- "the theatre where Broadway goes to summer"- is accepting resumes for a Wardrobe Supervisor for our 2020 Summer Season which include productions of "Private Lives," "God of Carnage," "An American in Paris," "Always Patsy Cline," "Grease," "Murder on the Orient Express," and "Million Dollar Quartet.",

The wardrobe supervisor will work with top designers in American Theatre for each show, providing support for each design, plus overseeing the wardrobe department. Costumes are procured and fitted during rehearsals in NYC. ,

Responsibilities include alterations, costume maintenance, laundering/dry cleaning, maintaining dressing rooms, dressing performers before and during performances, coordinating the receiving and returning of costume packages, maintaining wardrobe work space. Experience with wig supervision and maintenance is highly desired. ,

The Cape Playhouse values tradition, hard work, kindness, generosity, passion, and professionalism. Essential are communication and interpersonal skills, sewing (regular and industrial machine), ironing, altering, laundering, leading crews, makeup skills and experience with wig maintenance. Must be organized, tactful, completely self-reliant, and detail oriented in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be exceptionally professional and feel comfortable working with top directors, creatives and actors in American Theatre. ,
