Primary employment consists of Designing and implementing sound for (7) Mainstage productions. Sound mixing/running duties expected, as applicable. Secondary assistance in the Scenic Shop, helping to build, source, and execute scenic elements is also assigned to round out work weeks. Employment begins with the final show of the 2019/2020 Season: 9 to 5!,

Technician will also take a lead role in the Dramatic Academy as the Sound Designer for (3) mid-season youth productions and (2) summer youth productions, all staged in collaboration with Mainstage Programing. Specific daily duties to be established between the Production Manager and Technical Director upon assessment of candidate\x92s individual skills and departmental needs. Position reports directly to Production Manager.,

Valid drivers license and vehicle preferred. ,

Assigned duties include but are not limited to:,
-Maintaining and Organizing House Sound Equipment,
-Creation, Set up, and Engineering of Sound Plot and Speaker Placement,
-Set up and Engineering of Orchestras/Pit Musicians,
-Sound Design for Plays and Musicals,
-Programing of Sound Cues (Qlab preferred),
-Scheduled Scenic Shop Support,
Basic Scenic Construction ,
Basic Drafting/Cut List Creation,
Basic Scenic Painting,
Shop Organization,
Maintaining Stock Inventories,
-Sound Designer for Dramatic Academy as Assigned,
-Assisting the Production Crew with Strikes + Load-Ins,

This position is above entry level but ideal for someone early in their career looking to build experience. Experience and/or interest teaching and working with students preferred but not required. ,
