Responsibilities:,
-Secure and safe rigging of all scenery,
-Assist the Master Carpenter and Technical Director in maintaining safety in the scene shop and theater,
-Work with the Technical Director and Production Manager to efficiently load-in and strike each show,
-Build scenery according to technical drawings and as directed by the Technical Director or Master Carpenter,
-Load-in and strike scenic elements for each production,
-Work with scene shop interns and guide them through assigned elements,
-Evening show duties are assigned as each show demands,

Skills:,
-Working knowledge of scenery construction with minimum one year experience,
-Ability to handle fast-paced scenic builds, load-ins and strikes ,
-Ability to read and interpret construction drawings,
-Knowledge and safe use of common stationary, pneumatic and power hand tools,
-Experience with finish carpentry including molding and trim work.,
-Effective communication skills,
-Ability to work at heights,
-Able to lift 75 lbs,
-Understating of theatrical best practices,
-Team oriented attitude,
-Excellent Communication,

Additional desired skills and responsibilities:,
-MIG welding experience,
-Finished carpentry skills,
-Intermediate rigging skills,

Room and board available on the theater\x92s lovely 16 forested acres of shore frontage. Staff arrival date on campus is May 18th 2020, departure date is after the fifth show opens on September 9th, but preferred departure is after the final production closes October 21st.
