Job Description

Serve as the Theatre Program Technical Director/Production Manager for an annual season consisting of four mainstage shows and two black box student-led productions by:,
Scheduling and executing scenic and properties construction in collaboration withstudent workers,
Maintaining shops, equipment and storage areas,
Executing all load-ins and strikes including mounting of technical elements of productions including rigging, sets, lights, sound and special effects,
Coordinating shared and rented facilities,
Managing and working within budgets,
Supervising and mentoring students in all aspect of stagecraft including set construction, design, and shop maintenance,
Overseeing stock/storage of light/sound equipment, scenery, and properties.,
Overseeing rentals of spaces and equipment,
Maintaining Theatre Program calendar,
Advise, mentor, and encourage undergraduate students with regard to curriculum, research projects, internship opportunities, and career possibilities,
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:,

The candidate shall have a bachelor\x92s degree in an appropriate area of technical theatre. Substantial professional experience in technical theatre is required. The candidate should be comfortable working with students of all levels including theatre majors and non-majors. In addition, the successful applicant will be a willing and skilled collaborator in the production and design processes.,

HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:,
,
Expertise, experience, willingness or desire to design sets for productions as assigned. Ability to and interest in teaching Stagecraft course as an adjunct professor.,
