SUMMARY:A part-time position to manage and maintain a wide variety of both administrative and shop activities including, but not limited to equipment preparation, repair, maintenance, and return as well as assist the Lead Designer and provide support to Production Technicians and Operations Manager. This is a hands-on detail-oriented position.,

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:,
\x95Safe and on-time delivery and pickup of production equipment. Mostly local to the Cleveland/Akron area, but with occasional overnight trips when necessary.,
\x95Repair and maintenance of all Solus Lighting owned lighting equipment. This includes sourcing parts, assuring that wireless fixtures are in the proper charging rotation, maintaining service logs, inventory and accompanying records.,
\x95Responsible for logistics of (company and sub-rented) equipment and related paperwork pertaining to shows, productions, and inventory. This includes but is not limited to \x96 prepping and testing; equipment/materials specification (when needed); loading/unloading; transporting; check-in, clean, and repair. ,
\x95Maintain a neat, orderly, safe, and efficient working environment both in the shop and on location.,
\x95Maintaining and cleaning the company vehicle and shop on a regular basis. This includes making sure that all necessary service happens to the vehicle regularly and on schedule.,
\x95Coordinate, maintain, and communicate schedule and logistics of company and rented vehicles and equipment for productions. ,
\x95Conducting site surveys and contact clients, venues, planners, and producers as needed.,
\x95Occasionally attend industry events, meetings and/or training to represent Solus Lighting.,
\x95Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.,

EXPERIENCE:,
Required:,
\x95Minimum 18 years of age,
\x95High School Diploma or equivalent,
\x95Minimum 2 years practical working experience with theatrical/event lighting,
\x95Must be able to bend/stoop, squat/crouch, climb, kneel and twist. ,
\x95Must be able to climb ladders, work both inside and outside, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds,
\x95Working knowledge of conventional, LED + Intelligent lighting equipment + systems,
\x95Field experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics of a wide variety of theatrical lighting fixtures, consoles, and systems,
\x95Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, + Outlook,
\x95A valid driver\x92s license and good driving record are required,
\x95Must have reliable transportation,
\x95Must be flexible in work schedule to accommodate the varying entertainment needs outside normal business hours, including weekends and holidays,
\x95Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance + demeanor are a must. ,
\x95Must have good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) to relate to a wide variety of clienteles,
Preferred:,
\x95BA or BFA in theatre or live event lighting is preferred,
\x95Working knowledge of Auto Cad/Vector Works ,
\x95ETCP Certification (Rigging and/or Entertainment Electrician),
\x95Moving light repair, maintenance, and programming experience preferred (ROBE, GrandMA, Avo, Hog),
\x95Comprehension of basic principles of AC/DC electricity, basic electronics, and computer operations as it pertains to lighting systems,
