Description: Staff members in the Marketing department have responsibilities in the following areas: advertising, direct mail, selling single tickets, group sales, community and promotional partnerships, digital marketing, social media, and public relations.,

Responsibilities:,
,
Research show promotions and national audience development trends in the arts,
"Assist with writing and distributing press releases for mainstage shows, MFA Program, and the organizations education and engagement initiatives",
Write and edit marketing copy for e-newsletter, blog, letters, advertisements, postcards and brochures,
Ticket sales analysis to search for buying trends that can help form strategies for customer retention and new sales,
Join PR manager and talent on TV, radio and newspaper interviews when needed,
Assist with writing and scheduling internet social media messages for Facebook, Twitter, and other sites,
Oversee opportunities and submit calendar/editorial listings for performances and events in third-party print and online publications,
Attend final dress rehearsal to further engage with the product,
Maintain archives press clippings and monitor media mentions,
Assist with Opening Night/Press Night: setting up media table, assembling press kits, checking in media and VIPs,
Research and plan logistics for in-theatre and off-site activities for subscription promotions and group sales events and other special events as they arise,
Assist subscription services team with subscriber mailings and pre- and post-show surveys, input patron and media reviews in spreadsheets,
Assist with group audience research and direct mail campaigns for mainstage and MFA shows,
Develop strategy and help initiate distribution of marketing materials such as postcards and posters, mailings. This involves physically distributing marketing collateral by car or on foot.,
Create marketing plans for CWRU/CPH MFA Acting Program productions (two per season),
Clerical work: filing, data entry, updating contact lists, answering phones, department correspondence and contracts, staff meeting minutes,
Strong proofreading skills needed,
Still photography skills a plus,
Videography skills a plus,
Video editing a plus,
Assist and manage various on- and off-site promotional efforts,
Graphic design skills a plus,
Requirements: Must have an interest in marketing, public relations, communications, theatre, or non-profit management. Should be able to lift 20 lbs. General computer knowledge is essential. Access to a smart phone and a car can be helpful for this apprentice.,
