GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB FUNCTION:,
A key position of the Virginia Stage Company, the Carpenter is primarily responsible for assisting the scenic,
department in the construction, install, and strike of Virginia Stage Company\x92s eight show season and special,
events. Some night and weekend hours may be necessary.,

COMPENSATION:,
Salary is $425 per week and includes the following benefits: paid time off, medical coverage with modest,
employee share, free parking, and other coverages.,

ESSENTIAL DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES,
-Must have experience in wood theatrical construction; steel construction and/or rigging experience,
preferred but not required.,
-Working knowledge and experience with standard scene shop tools and equipment.,
-Experience and comfort working with ladders and lifts.,
-Ability to read and build from construction drawings.,
-Must be able to lift 75+ pounds unaided and in repetition.,
-Must maintain a safe and orderly working environment.,
-Must be able to multi-task multiple projects, maintain organization, and be detail oriented.,
-Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral,
vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.,
