Job Description
The Theater Barn, a historic non-equity theater located in the Berkshires just over 2 hours from Boston and NYC, is celebrating its 37th Anniversary Season. The 2020 season consists of 3 plays and 3 musicals with five performances per week. Currently seeking reliable, take charge, self-motivated, resourceful, and experienced SM familiar with two-week summer stock schedules. Hands-on position includes but is not limited to assign and assist with scene changes, oversee and execute props, send out schedule and rehearsal and performance reports daily, oversee side work duties on show days, and oversee strike. Must be responsible, have great organizational/managerial skills, get along with actors and be able to work with an Assistant SM to meet deadlines. Housing is provided, (private room) and the salary is set at $350 per week; must be available from June through mid- September.
