2020 Summer Subscription Series: GENERAL INFORMATION,
Totem Pole Playhouse, \x93America\x92s Summer Theatre,\x94 located in the spectacular 1,200-acre Caledonia State Park between Gettysburg and Chambersburg, PA, is seeking a full slate of technical staff positions for this legendary summer theatre\x92s 70th summer series of shows.,
Totem Pole Playhouse produces Equity productions and also presents non-union guest productions as part of a summer subscription series. Totem Pole has an excellent reputation within the industry; the New York Times called Totem Pole, \x93the Cadillac of summer theaters.\x94,
Totem Pole\x92s 2020 summer series of shows runs May 29th through September 6th. Contract dates vary with some flexibility in regards to start dates and end dates, but applicants should ideally be available for the entire summer.,
Staff salaries are competitive and dependent on prior experience.,
Most staff positions provide housing in private bedrooms within shared staff houses.,
Internships include housing (with roommates) and a weekly stipend. Equity Membership Candidate (EMC) points are available for certain internships on union productions.,

This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing and communications with an emphasis on social and electronic media production. The Marketing/Media Intern will work in Totem Pole Playhouse\x92s administrative offices, working closely with the Marketing Director and Producing Artistic Director. Duties include creating video trailers for each production to be used as marketing materials, generating social media content, coordinating and filming/editing artist interviews, filming archive footage of all performances, assisting with the website maintenance, publishing and building content for multiple social media outlets, and helping to expand community outreach. The Marketing/PR intern may also assist during performances in a variety of roles, including but not limited to set-up, clean-up. Required to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends as pre-assigned by the manager. Experience with video equipment and editing software a must, ideally able to supply your own computer and strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, Publisher), organizational + communication skills desirable.,
