Job Description

Williams Street Repertory is looking for a Scenic Designer to join the creative team of An Act of God, our upcoming summer play. An Act of God by David Javerbaum, directed by Kevin Wiczer will run June 19th-July 19th at Raue Center for the Arts in downtown Crystal Lake. Successful candidates will have demonstrable skills in scenic design, strong communication skills, proficiency with AutoCad or equivalent, and availability for all required production dates.,

4/21 - 1st Production Meeting,
5/5 - 2nd Production Meeting / Draftings + Renderings/model due,
5/18 - 3rd Production Meeting / First Read w/ design presentations,
6/3 - Designer Run / Final Production Meeting,
6/8 thru 6/12 - Scenic load in,
6/13 thru 6/18 - Technical Rehearsals,
6/19 - Opening Performance,

Additional meetings may be scheduled ad hoc.,

Our Shop Foreperson and a small build crew will be made available to build, load in and provide support to the designer during tech week. Designers will be responsible for their own housing and transportation to and from the venue. Local area candidates preferred.,
