Job Description

Wright State University seeks applications for a full-time Instructor of Costume Design to teach classes, advise and supervise student costume designers; design costumes for two productions annually; and provide service for the department and the university. Required: MFA in Costume Design or related field anticipated by the start date, OR five or more years of professional theatrical costume design experience at the regional or national level; and at least one year of university, conservatory or professional teaching in the area of costume design. Preferred: Demonstrated ability to teach beginning through advanced Costume Design courses, and Graphics/Rendering, and/or Costume Construction; ability to teach specialized costume courses (e.g., costume crafts, pattern drafting and draping, fabric dyeing), membership in United Scenic Artists.
