Job Description

The New York office of Frost Productions is seeking an Automated Lighting Shop Technician who is based in the tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut) to work in our Warehouse located in Moonachie, New Jersey on a full-time basis. The Automated Lighting Shop Technician will be responsible for the quality control and coordination of all gear assigned to this area (moving-light fixtures, wireless LED\x92s, consoles, and data cables) between the field and our warehouse.,

Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour; commensurate with experience,

Position Responsibilities: ,
\x95 Prep and check-in and out equipment according to shop orders,
\x95 Maintain and repair fixtures and inventory as needed,
\x95 Maintain records on all fixture repairs and inventory as needed,
\x95 Charge and maintain battery-powered LED fixtures,
\x95 Provide phone technical support to field staff as needed,

Position Requirements:,
\x95 General stagecraft experience and familiarity with theatrical lighting equipment and consoles,
\x95 Knowledge of electrical and digital control systems,
\x95 Ability to lift up to 65 pounds comfortably,
\x95 Ability to work nights and weekends, and be on-call as necessary,
\x95 Read load sheets and pull and prepare equipment to be sent into the field,
\x95 Demonstrate initiative and ownership of assigned tasks,
\x95 Punctuality, professionalism, and a positive collaborative attitude when working with clients and co-workers,

Preferred Qualifications: ,
\x95 At least 2 years of professional entertainment lighting experience or Associates Degree in Entertainment Technology or related field,
\x95 Strong knowledge of entertainment lighting systems,
\x95 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
\x95 Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills,
\x95 General computer skills,
\x95 Comfortable driving heavy equipment such as fork lifts and 10\x92-24\x92 box trucks (CDL not required),
