Production internships at Trinity Rep are a hands-on experience. We want interns to leave with practical working knowledge of their field of internship as well as the confidence to move ahead to a job in that field. Production interns work as part of their department alongside professionals who have been in their field for years. We believe that the best way to learn how to do something is to do it and that\x92s what our internships focus on. Throughout the year you will get a chance to interact with people from other departments, as well as out-of-town designers and artists from around the country. Trinity Rep production interns are given opportunities to make great contacts, and to learn about other fields of interest. We are looking for individuals who are hungry to learn, and to ask questions. Our production departments have to function as a team so we need individuals that are willing to work like that. The Electrics Intern is the fifth member of the Electrics Department. This intern assists in the preparation and maintenance of equipment and is involved in all hang and focus calls in both theater spaces. They may be tasked with running spotlight or light board for some productions. Opportunities to learn various skills including soldering, wiring practices, ETC Ion programming and basic Vectorworks and Lightwright. In hopes for furthering experience level, interns may be asked to take on lighting duties for various special events in and around the theatre. This internship requires a team player, an eagerness to learn, and a positive attitude. Must be able to work at heights and on extension and A-frame ladders, and able to lift 50lbs. Recent college with experience in electrics and lighting design are preferred.,
