Position Title: Wig/Makeup Supervisor,
Department: Costume Shop,

Position Summary,
The Wig/Makeup Supervisor is responsible for leading a crew of 4 in maintaining, sanitizing, style/upkeep, and application of wigs for all shows as well as performing pre-sets of wigs and completing show wig cues in an outdoor setting. They are also responsible for creating and maintaining show run paperwork for all necessary shows.,

Essential Functions,
\x95 Ability to create and maintain backstage paperwork including show run sheets, preset lists, wig care instructions, check in/out sheets, and any other documents requested by Shop Manager both physically and digitally.,
\x95 Ability to supervise a crew of 4 or more,
\x95 Shadow all hair/makeup tracks to act as a swing if needed.,
\x95 Ability to work with performers and staff in a positive and professional manner while on campus at all times.,
\x95 Ability to work outside in a desert climate.,
\x95 Assemble and pre-set wigs prior to performances when needed.,
\x95 Assist the performers with quick changes when needed.,
\x95 Lead the on-going inspection of every wig/facial hairpiece to identify repairs.,
\x95 Sanitize wigs and facial hair daily.,
\x95 Check daily that all wigs are styled maintained as per design,
\x95 Cleans and maintains all spaces daily.,
\x95 Maintains the integrity of the wig/makeup design,
\x95 Maintain flexible schedule for work calls especially during tech weeks,
\x95 Creates and maintains an inventory document of all needed items for run of shows.,
\x95 Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and maintain a safe work environment.,
\x95 Performs other job related tasks as assigned by the Costume Shop Manager,

Qualifications,
\x95 At least 4 years of professional work experience in a live theatrical environment as a wig/makeup crew member or equivalent educational experience.,
\x95 Demonstrated knowledge of/and experience in a variety of wig styles and maintenance techniques,
\x95 Strong Microsoft Suite skills required for paperwork creation.,
\x95 Working knowledge of hand and machine stitching techniques,
\x95 Ability to collaborate with the wig/makeup team to efficiently complete assigned projects.,
\x95 Ability to clean and maintain all related work spaces.,
\x95 Ability to maintain a professional work environment that reports to the Costume Shop Manager.,

Skills / Abilities,
\x95 Ability to wash, block, roller set, and style wigs,
\x95 Ability to ventilate and re-front wigs is a huge plus.,
\x95 Strong Microsoft Suite skills required for paperwork creation.,
\x95 Ability to listen, take instruction, and to participate in a team to complete the assigned tasks,
\x95 Excellent organizational skills,
\x95 Excellent time management skills,
\x95 Excellent communication skills,
\x95 Ability to work under tight deadlines,
\x95 Works well in a fast paced and high pressure environment.,
\x95 Must be able to run short distances and stand for length of show.,
\x95 Ability to lift 20 lbs,

Salary / Rate: $18.00 / hour plus overtime,
