Largent Studios is a design and fabrication studio located in Brooklyn, NY who primarily builds for TV, live music and private clients. We are looking for competent scenic carpenters looking for freelance opportunities with potential for future growth and advancement.,

Carpenters will be expected to have significant experience working in a fast-paced shop environment with demanding deadlines and be familiar with the set design industry and the nuances of fabricating for live entertainment. ,
,
Ideal candidates will have the following skills:,
-Successfully be able to work independently as well as in a group,
-Gracefully take direction from the Shop Foreman,
-Ability to work under pressure and complete jobs with demanding deadlines,
-Must be proficient in the use of all types of power tools,
-Detail oriented and organized,
-Ability to work successfully from blueprints/elevations/plans,
-Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal,
-Very dependable with an emphasis on attendance and punctuality ,
-Ability to lift 50+ lbs.,
-Capable of operating a forklift a plus,
-Always looking to learn and grow,

As work is project-based and deadlines often come in at the last moment, having the flexibility to work nights, weekends and OT during projects is very helpful.,

Rate is hourly and competitive and will be based off of prior experience.,
