Job Description
The Glimmerglass Festival seeks First Hands for its 2020 summer season (the Sound of Music, Rinaldo, Die Feen, Don Giovani). Contract dates are mid-May through mid-July 2020. ,,
Duties:,
,
Assist with the setup and breakdown of the Costume Shop,
Assist in distributing work to Stitchers,
Assist in checking Stitchers\x92 work,
Cutting and stitching as requested,
Responsible for being sure all parts and pieces are available, in fitting room and ready to fit prior to each fitting,
Strike all items from fitting room at end of fitting,
Assist with fittings, including taking notes and photos,
Available for dress rehearsals (Assist wardrobe with dressing performers, take notes for the Draper, etc.),
Assist in pulling/restocking/organizing items in Costume Storage,

Please note that this is a general guideline of what is expected of a First Hand but you may be asked to perform other duties in the Costume Department as well.,
