Job Description
The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), in Washington, DC, seeks an experienced Company Manager to support an incredible array of local and visiting artists from across the country and around the world who create the renowned work on our stages. The Company Manager is responsible for welcoming the artists for our core mainstage season and international presentations into the STC community, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their residency. They will cultivate our hotel and housing relationships, serve as a main point of contact for all actors and stage managers, and arrange travel, accommodations, and visas for all visiting artists. The Company Manager is also responsible for artist-related budget projecting and tracking, and the negotiation and administering of artists contracts. This position reports to our General Manager, and is supported by the Company Management Fellow.,

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor\x92s degree in Performing Arts Management or a related field and/or 3-4 years professional company management experience, with knowledge of Equity and/or League of Resident Theatre agreements, and a keen instinct for customer service. Must be able to work well in an active, team-based environment while being able to concentrate and perform under deadlines. Creative problem solving, diplomacy, and business sense are required, as well as the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. ,
