Job Description

Tuacahn Center for the Arts is a 2002 seat outdoor theater set in a spectacular red rock canyon. We are located in Ivins Utah, 45 minutes from Zion National park, and 2 hours north of Las Vegas, Nevada. Tuacahn produces 3 Broadway-style shows in repertory, running from June to October. This season we will be presenting Annie, Beauty and the Beast, and The Count of Monte Cristo. Tuacahn will also produce an indoor production of Smokey Joes Cafe in our 400 seat Hafen theater. We have national touring concerts in the spring and fall. During the holiday season, we have a Live Nativity on the Mainstage and produce a Christmas musical indoors.,

Tuacahn is seeking a skilled Audio Video technician to implement the design of our 3 Mainstage shows and our indoor production. ,

Who you are: ,
Dedicated Audio/Visual Professional (DAP) Experienced in theatrical production audio/video applications. An excellent communicator with patience and understanding of a variety of personalities. Understand deadlines and anticipate needs and schedules for completions. Able to handle change and adapt to new and creative requests. ,

You will have experience in: ,
Theatrical audio/video applications, You will be knowledgeable in Barco and Christie projection systems and applications. Familiar with LED panel setup and Novastar HD control, Watchout and Qlab applications. Yamaha and L\x92Acoustics applications. Dante network and Shure applications.,

What you will do:,
Assist the systems engineer with all audio/video systems set up and operations. You will assist video design with all needs during build, onstage rehearsal and technical rehearsals,

When you will be needed:,
April 27 to May 2 Build test and fitting,
May 4 to May 16 Onstage rehearsal,
May 18 to May 30 Technical Rehearsal,
June 1 to June 6 Preview Opening,
June 8 to July 6 nightly performance Sunday off,
July 7 to July 9 Onstage rehearsal,
July 10 and 11 nightly performance,
July 13 to July 18 technical rehearsal,
July 20 to July 25 Preview Opening,

Systems engineer, A-1 engineers, Audio designers, Projection designers.,

What you will receive:,
Pay is hourly DOE between 12-15 per hour. Housing is provided. A private room in a shared apartment. Transportation is not provided. There is a one-time travel stipend of 400.00 ,
