JOB TYPE: Full time with hours worked as needed to meet production goals. Based on the production calendar must be able to work irregular hours, evening hours, long hours and weekend shifts.,

DESCRIPTION: The Assistant Master Electrician is responsible for assisting with the implementation, maintenance, and removal of all lighting designs for productions and events at Riverside Theatre. ,
,
REQUIRED SKILLS:,
,
\x95Experience in all phases of lighting design, electrics procedures and codes. Knowledge of current lighting technology \x96 moving lights (Currently VL, Mac), wireless systems, dimming and power distribution.,
\x95Maintain positive attitude, possess strong leadership skills, high level of organizational, communication, problem solving skills and ability to work well in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.,
\x95Proficient with programming various lighting consoles. Primarily ETC ION lighting console.,
\x95Proficient computer skills in: Lightwright, Vectorworks, Microsoft Word and Excel.,
\x95Working knowledge and proficient maintenance skills with theatrical atmospheric effects.,
\x95Must have a valid driver\x92s license.,
\x95Must be able to lift 50 pounds and able to work from heights (i.e. catwalks, grids and genie lifts.,

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:,
,
\x95Uphold the Core Values of Riverside Theatre.,
\x95Help direct and work with the Electrics Department crew consisting of two electrics apprentices.,
\x95Execute lighting designs and maintain during the run of each show.,
\x95Provide maintenance for all lighting designs for each show or event.,
\x95In lieu of a design for an event or rental, create and hang a working plot to facilitate the needs of each specific event.,
\x95Take stock of, order and receive needed gel, lamps, instruments, accessories, specials and paperwork prior to light hang.,
\x95Oversee and manage the hang, layout and focus of all lighting for each production and event.,
\x95Organize and maintain extensive lighting inventory, including equipment accessories such as scrollers, hazers, LED fixtures, moving lights, and other DMX equipment.,
\x95Serve as Lighting Designer on children\x92s theatre productions and second stage productions when designer is not assigned.,
\x95Uphold safety protocols and participate in all required training.,
\x95Work closely with Production staff to coordinate implementation of lighting systems.,
\x95Oversee and maintain all house and aisle lighting in the Stark Stage/Waxlax Stage, Anne Morton Theatre and Richardson Room.,
\x95Provide needed work lights, running lights and cue lights for build crews, run crews and stage management.,
\x95Advise Production Manager of any safety concerns and remediation.,
\x95On a weekly basis clean and organize all electrics areas on Stark Stage and at children\x92s theatre.,
\x95Work on backstage crew for rental and special events as assigned by Production Manager.,
\x95Serve as board operator for mainstage productions as assigned by Master Electrician.,
\x95Assist with in-house benefit performances, rentals, lectures and special events as assigned.,
\x95Serve as technician for Comedy Zone and Howl at the Moon events as assigned.,
\x95Read daily rehearsal and performance reports and respond to any reported problems and be readily available for any troubleshooting.,
\x95Attend meetings, rehearsals and events as needed.,
\x95Attend all strike calls and assist as needed.,
