Audio Engineer: Responsible for ensuring the execution of audio requirements for assigned space including setup, operation, and changeover of equipment during rehearsals and performances. Duties include live mixing of actors and/or orchestra; maintenance, organization and tracking of audio and video inventory; assisting the Electrics Director in developing audio technicians’ skills in audio practices, workplace safety, and company policies and procedures in a professional working environment; and planning and executing audio needs for all events as assigned. Assist with planning and execution of capital improvements related to audio and/or video in assigned space. Position requires a working knowledge of various equipment typical of a modern sound system including various wireless and wired equipment and AoIP. Technical proficiencies in network communication, Dante networks, stage monitoring, Yamaha QL/CL series consoles, RF systems, live and post-production techniques, Clear-Com systems, Symetrix Composer, Yamaha editors, Wireless Workbench, OSC and UDP protocols, Mac OS/OSX, and frequency coordination experience are preferred. Leadership and troubleshooting skills are essential. Contract dates are May 18 to October 17, 2020.
