"Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy is a private K12 institution serving the Space Coast in Melbourne, FL. Holy Trinitys Theatre Department is seeking a Carpenter/Master Carpenter to complete scenic construction for their fall production, You Cant Take It With You.",

Duties/Responsibilities:,
Applicant must be able and willing to do the following:,
- Read, interpret, and execute scenic construction diagrams.,
- Work independently with little to no supervision.,
- Make decisions regarding the most effective and safe way to build a specified piece of scenery, when not specified in construction models.,
"- Operate a two-man scissor lift up to heights not exceeding 25.",
- Complete basic rigging techniques using aircraft cable, thimbles, chain, rigging clips, etc.,
- Complete basic scenic painting techniques including minimal wood graining.,
- Take and pass a background check that permits working with and around students.,
- Work with and around students within an educational atmosphere.,
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and stage, ensuring not to violate fire code or paths of egress.,

Availability of the venue for construction begins on October 6th.,
10/06 - 10/18, Scenic Construction,
......Work during these dates may occur between the hours of 7:00am and 9:30pm. Additional hours outside of this timeframe may be available, but will required prior approval. For work calls occurring during the school day (Monday - Friday), the venue is unavailable from 9:15am to 10:15am due to a daily general school assembly. Downstage areas must be appear clean and orderly for this assembly.,

10/18 - 10/20, Lighting/Sound Work, Scenic Notes/Painting,
......The venue will be available until 11:00pm during these days to allow for work by other departments.,

10/21 - 10/24 - Tech Week,
......Rehearsals run from 3pm - 8pm. If there are scenic notes to be taken care of, the Carpenter will be able to use the stage from 7am until 3pm, with the 9:15 am to 10:15am restriction listed above.,

10/27 - 10/28 - Strike,
......Carpenter will be responsible for striking all scenery, including flown elements, and return the venue to its pre-production state.,

Pay/Housing/Travel:,
Carpenter will be paid as an independent contractor through P:L Theatrical, a Central Florida-based design firm that is providing production services to Holy Trinity. ,
Rate is $18/hour.,
No per diem or travel rates are available.,

Additional Notes:,
Pay rate will be raised to $20/hr if applicant owns a pickup truck and is willing to use it to travel short distances (under 4 miles round trip) between venue and hardware/lumber suppliers.,
