"The WEATHERVANE THEATRE in Whitefield, NH is looking for a SCENIC ARTIST for the 2020 - 55th season. This year\x92s exciting mainstage summer season includes: THE ADDAMS FAMILY, BUYER AND CELLAR, AMERICAN IDIOT, KINKY BOOTS, AMADEUS, DISASTER!, and HELLO DOLLY! Our first fall season is comprised of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, A MIRACLE ON SOUTH DIVISION ST., and THE WORLD GOES ROUND; THE SONGS OF KANDER AND EBB. The theatre operates in alternating repertory with 7 mainstage shows and a children\x92s theatre with 4 productions. This season\x92s summer employment starts June 15th and goes through August 29th. The fall seasons employment starts August 29th and goes through October 11th. There are daily changeovers that typically occur in the morning, but occasionally are overnight. This position works in collaboration with other scenic artists in producing designs for all shows. It may include design elements for some shows, and artistic support on all productions. The position also assists in daily changeovers as well as maintenance of the shows and shops. Must have strong painting skills, ability to work independently and efficiently, and able to lift 50lbs repetitively. A valid drivers license is ideal but not required.
