Position: Lead Sound Engineer,
Reports To: Stage Operations Supervisor,
Responsible To: Production Manager, Resident Sound Designer,

General Description: Village Theatre, a leading professional musical theatre company, seeks an experienced Lead Sound Engineer for our Issaquah and Everett locations. This is a seasonal, part time staff position represented by the collective bargaining agreement between IATSE Local #15 and Village Theatre.,
Start date for this position will be ASAP,

Responsibilities include supervising and executing the implementation of all Village Theatre sound designs at Village Theatre\x92s First Stage and Cope Gillette Theatres.,

Primarily, this individual will act as sound engineer and FOH mixer for Village Original and Kidstage shows. Village Theatre incorporates the \x93line by line\x94 mixing style of many Broadway musicals and is interested in individuals who have experience in this style of mixing. ,

Additionally, this position will act as Lead Sound Engineer for all external and internal rental events at the various Village Theatre facilities and as such will need to possess a good customer oriented and service based demeanor to ensure all events receive top level audio support.,

Specific duties will include installation of all speaker systems, console prep, equipment maintenance and upkeep, troubleshooting and repair of audio equipment, orchestra pit prep, installation and troubleshooting of closed circuit video and intercom systems, work with wardrobe department and running crew on proper wireless mic operation.,

Required Skills:,
,
o5-6 years professional experience in sound / audio engineering.,
o2-3 years professional experience in theatrical sound mixing.,
oWorking knowledge of Yamaha line of audio consoles.,
oAbility to troubleshoot, repair and maintain all audio equipment including wireless mics and speaker systems.,
oExcellent organizational and communication skills with the abilities to work well under pressure, make decisions and represent the organization well.,
