Installers at Beck Studios are expected to perform to the highest standards in both installation and safety. Installers should expect to travel up to a week at a time or more in some cases. What to Expect:,
As an installer you will be expected to work on jobsites that are both new and old constructions. We also install in working facilities such as schools and performing arts spaces. You will be installing anything from full rigging system to small stage curtain and track systems. Other types of equipment such as movie screens and lighting will be required from time to time. We have even been contracted to hang art installations and sculptures. We have been on hand to install major new state of the arts performance venues as well as the renovation of historic theatrical spaces. If you have an appreciation for theatre technology and history, you will be right at home.,
It is the responsibility of each installation team to ensure quality work. We take no shortcuts and work to meticulously install systems and equipment per specification. It should be your goal to provide a \x93no punch list\x94 job. You will be expected to take pride in your work and to present Beck Studios in the best light. We pride ourselves in having strong relationships with top manufactures, construction management firms, and consultants in our industry. Workmanship or actions that would be a detriment to these relationships will not be tolerated. Your work will be expected to meet or exceed expectations in quality and safety set forth by Beck Studios, our clients, OSHA, ETCP, ESTA and any governing bodies in jurisdiction on the jobsite.,
Your safety, the safety of your coworkers and the safety of the end user must be your number one concern.,
You will be expected to interface with clients and job site personnel to complete the given project. You will be expected to represent Beck Studios in a professional and courteous manner.,
You will be expected to work at heights and constricted spaces in some cases.,

You can expect a typical 40-hour work week with some long days depending on job access, deadlines, and other factors specific to each project. Installers are expected to be flexible and available to these demands.,
Travel is required and a major part of this position. Beck Studios has a broad reach and travel of a week or more is not unusual. We typically try to have you home on weekends, but this is not always possible. We are especially busy in the summer months. We try to accommodate all time off requests if they are submitted in a timely manner and within reason. Beck studios offers a per-diem for travel days.,

Responsibilities:,
-Installation of counterweight and motorized rigging systems.,
-Negotiate with the Owner and subcontractors on projects in order to maintain an efficient, safe and well-run project.,
-Strong Verbal and written communication skills,
-Self starter able to work under minimal supervision,
-Communicate effectively with coworkers and management,
-Loading and unloading of equipment,
-Completion of daily reports and paperwork.,
-Pinpoint and assess issues as they arise, communicate to management and offer solutions,
-Ability to create pull lists from drawings and other in shop preparations to efficiently complete work in field.,
-Proper care of company property including tools, vehicles, and equipment.,
-Assist in other tasks as needed. ,

Requirements:,
-Counter Weight system installation and maintenance,
-Motorized rigging systems and maintenance,
-At least 5 years\x92 experience or more ,
-ETCP Certified or on track to certification (Assistance is provided),
-Knowledge of theatrical rigging practices and procedures,
-basic math skills,
-comfortable working at heights (lifts, grids, ladders, swing stages, etc.),
-Solid problem solver with methodical approach to installations,
-Reads and understands drawings and specifications. ,
-Agree to and able to pass background check and drug test,
-ability to use standardized safety practices and common sense in completion of tasks. ,
-ability to lift 50 lbs.,
-valid driver\x92s license,
These skills are not required but are a definite plus:,
-manlift training and certification,
-Welding,
-AutoCAD,
-Experience on construction sites,
-OSHA Certification,
