Position Title:Wig/Makeup Supervisor,
Department:Costume Shop,
,
Position Summary,
The Wig/Makeup Supervisor is responsible for leading a crew of 4 in maintaining, sanitizing, style/upkeep, and application of wigs for all shows as well as performing pre-sets of wigs and completing show wig cues in an outdoor setting. They are also responsible for creating and maintaining show run paperwork for all necessary shows.,

Essential Functions,
\x95Ability to create and maintain backstage paperwork including show run sheets, preset lists, wig care instructions, check in/out sheets, and any other documents requested by Shop Manager both physically and digitally.,
\x95Ability to supervise a crew of 4 or more ,
\x95Shadow all hair/makeup tracks to act as a swing if needed.,
\x95Ability to work with performers and staff in a positive and professional manner while on campus at all times.,
\x95Ability to work outside in a desert climate.,
\x95Assemble and pre-set wigs prior to performances when needed.,
\x95Assist the performers with quick changes when needed.,
\x95Lead the on-going inspection of every wig/facial hairpiece to identify repairs.,
\x95Sanitize wigs and facial hair daily.,
\x95Check daily that all wigs are styled maintained as per design,
\x95Cleans and maintains all spaces daily. ,
\x95Maintains the integrity of the wig/makeup design ,
\x95Maintain flexible schedule for work calls especially during tech weeks,
\x95Creates and maintains an inventory document of all needed items for run of shows.,
\x95Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and maintain a safe work environment.,
\x95Performs other job related tasks as assigned by the Costume Shop Manager,

Qualifications,
\x95At least 4 years of professional work experience in a live theatrical environment as a wig/makeup crew member or equivalent educational experience.,
\x95Demonstrated knowledge of/and experience in a variety of wig styles and maintenance techniques,
\x95Strong Microsoft Suite skills required for paperwork creation.,
\x95Working knowledge of hand and machine stitching techniques ,
\x95Ability to collaborate with the wig/makeup team to efficiently complete assigned projects.,
\x95Ability to clean and maintain all related work spaces.,
\x95Ability to maintain a professional work environment that reports to the Costume Shop Manager.,

Skills / Abilities,
\x95Ability to wash, block, roller set, and style wigs,
\x95Ability to ventilate and re-front wigs is a huge plus.,
\x95Strong Microsoft Suite skills required for paperwork creation.,
\x95Ability to listen, take instruction, and to participate in a team to complete the assigned tasks,
\x95Excellent organizational skills,
\x95Excellent time management skills,
\x95Excellent communication skills ,
\x95Ability to work under tight deadlines,
\x95Works well in a fast paced and high pressure environment.,
\x95Must be able to run short distances and stand for length of show.,
\x95Ability to lift 20 lbs,

Production Dates: May 4th \x96 October 24th with possible extension,

Salary / Rate: $18.00 / hour plus overtime,
