The Assistant Director of Marketing is an intern position that works directly with the Marketing Director of the Festival. The Marketing Intern is expected to work closely and effectively with the Artistic + Operations Directors, Orchestra Manager, Faculty, and the entire MCMF staff to ensure clear communication and effective execution for the duration of the festival.,

This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing and communications. The Marketing/PR Intern will work in MCMF\x92s administrative offices, working closely with the Director of Marketing and Graphics Designer. Responsibilities will include: assisting with the creation and distribution of marketing/publicity materials, writing and submitting press releases, programs, and community notes for performances and other MCMF activities, communicating with local media, creating and scheduling regular eBlasts, creating promotional collateral, maintaining and organizing press clippings, data entry online calendar submissions, answering office phones, and helping with administrative details associated with special events. Other duties include assisting with the website, ticketing, weekly e-blast newsletters, publishing and building content for Social Media, developing outreach, and managing orchestra and staff comp ticket requests. The Marketing/PR intern may also assist during performances in a variety of roles, including but not limited to set-up, clean-up, box office duties and merchandise sales. Dress: During day, responsible for wearing appropriate "office casual" attire. Performance dress more formal. At all other times and events, clean and professional attire is required. Required to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends as pre-assigned by manager.,

Computer Skills required, include expertise in Social Media, Facebook Targeted Marketing, Excel, Word, Email, PowerPoint, website management; Photoshop, InDesign, others encouraged. ,

Working knowledge of classical music a plus.,

UNPAID INTERNSHIP\x96 MCMF offers a $250 stipend per Session* on top of fulfilling college credit requirements from most major universities. ,
