Maine State Music Theatre (MSMT), a CORST X AEA resident summer music theatre, is looking for an ASSISTANT SOUND MANAGER. ,

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the Sound Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Sound Department, is the A2, manages the backstage tracks of the sound staff, designing, mixing, or coordinating the Monday Performance Series concerts, Theatre for Young Audiences shows, and MSMT-produced offsite performances.,

Successful candidate will have 1-2 years of professional experience working as a sound technician; strong communication, management and troubleshooting skills; ability to work under pressure; strong microphone application; robust knowledge of all aspects of a modern theatrical sound system; previous professional experience as an A2 for large scale musicals; intermediate knowledge of sound design for musicals; exceptional time management; experience mixing, editing, creating effects and basic rigging, and an ability to lift 25 lbs. Previous experience using DiGiCo sound consoles, Lectrosonics SSM wireless mics, Sennhesier wireless mics, and clear-comm wireless communication systems is preferred but not required.,
