Chester Theatre Company, is a professional theatre company located in the foothills of the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. CTC produces 4-5 plays each summer, staged with actors, directors and designers from across the country. Now in its 31st season, CTC has earned a reputation for producing the best in contemporary theatre, consistently winning top honors with area critics. Artistic / Administrative Intern Description,
The two Arts Administrative interns will work closely with various departments in artistic administration for the Summer 2020 season. ,
\x95Dramaturgy,
oWork with the company dramaturg on research ,
materials for productions as well as program insert ,
materials and lobby displays,
,
\x95Direction,
oOpportunity to serve as assistant to the director on ,
one of the 4 main season productions,
oAssist the Artistic Director on a variety of tasks ,
including coordinating artists for panel discussions, ,
organizing special events, and script organization,
,
\x95Company Management,
oAssist the Operations Manager in coordinating artist t ,
travel and housing,
oAssist with union contract organization,
oCheck in with artists to ensure housing needs are met,
oSupport stage management with rehearsal hospitality,
,
\x95Box Office / House Management,
oDaily phone sales / order processing,
oWorking with Box Office Manager and volunteer ,
ushers to run front of house and assist with house ,
management.,

\x95Marketing and Development,
oAssist with special event planning, invitation, and set ,
up,
oData entry and database management,
oWebsite and email marketing,
,
The successful candidate should have both experience working in an office environment and an interest in pursuing a career in the theatre/arts administration. Interns work closely with multiple departments, so we are seeking candidates who are professional, self motivated, and detail oriented.,
